MIYAKO RESIN

An Indoor Resin Art Experience for Rainy Days in Miyakojima

Rain on your Miyakojima trip, or the sea too rough to swim? At Miyako Resin you can still make lasting memories in our fully indoor studio.

Capture the clear Miyako Blue inside a one-of-a-kind clock or surfboard-shaped artwork. It is a favorite backup plan for travelers when the weather changes.

Why it works rain or shine

Every experience takes place indoors, so the weather never gets in the way — rainy season, around a typhoon, or a sudden shower. When you cannot get in the sea, it is the perfect chance to take the colors of the Miyakojima ocean home as art.

Great for families, couples and friends

From families with small children to couples on a date and groups of friends, everyone is welcome. There is no age limit at our studio, so the whole family can create their own one-of-a-kind piece together.

Easy to fit into your trip

All materials and tools are provided, so just come as you are. Finished pieces are dried and then picked up in store or shipped to you (shipping free for most menus; +¥1,500 for the large clock), making it easy to fit between sightseeing or before your flight.

Miyakojima weather and the "rainy-day plan"

Okinawa and Miyakojima's rainy season is roughly May to June, and typhoon season runs from summer into autumn. Ocean activities depend on the weather and sea conditions, but resin art is fully indoors, so a poor forecast does not force you to change plans. Use it as a buffer in your itinerary: "resin in the morning if the weather looks iffy, beach in the afternoon if it clears."

Drop in on short notice

Even if your plans change the day before or the same day, we can often fit you in when there is space. Come empty-handed straight from your hotel or rental car. Please check availability and get in touch.
