MIYAKO RESIN
Resin Art Experience in Miyakojima — Miyako Resin
Miyako Resin is a studio where you can enjoy a resin art experience inspired by the Miyakojima ocean. Layer the clear Miyako Blue and sandy textures into your own ocean artwork.
No art experience needed. Our staff guide you step by step, so everyone from children to adults can create with confidence.

HOW IT WORKS
How the experience works
From arrival to taking your artwork home, the session runs in five steps. Our staff guide you through every part, even if it is your first time.
- 01
Arrive & check in
Come by at your reserved time. We walk you through the day and help you choose a piece. All materials and tools are provided, so just bring yourself.
- 02
Choose your design
Pick a piece — a clock, surfboard-style art, a coaster, and more — then decide on colors and the layout of sand and shells.
- 03
Pour the resin
Layer Miyako blue and pour the resin to shape waves and depth. Our staff show you how to blend colors and form waves as you go.
- 04
Finishing
We smooth out bubbles, check the overall balance, and finish the piece. Resin takes about 24 hours to fully cure.
- 05
Complete & take home
After curing, pick it up at the studio on a later day or have it shipped (shipping is free except the large clock, +¥1,500).

For rainy days and rough seas in Miyako
The Miyako Resin experience is fully indoors. During the rainy season, around typhoons, or on a sudden rainy day when you cannot get in the water, you can still make a Miyako-style memory without changing your plans. It also works as a flexible buffer in your itinerary — "resin in the morning, beach in the afternoon if it clears up." Come empty-handed and drop by straight from your hotel or rental car.
What is resin art?
Resin art layers pigments, glitter and more into resin and cures it to express a three-dimensional ocean scene. At Miyako Resin we capture the clear Miyakojima sea — the gradient from the shoreline to the deep — in a single piece. It may look difficult, but our staff show you how to layer colors and form waves on the spot.
A closer look at each piece
The wall clock, surfboard art and coaster each have their own page with details on size, duration, difficulty and who they suit best. If you are unsure, choose based on your available time and budget.
