MIYAKO RESIN
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the questions we are asked most often before booking the Miyako Resin art experience. If anything is still unclear, please feel free to contact us.

Frequently asked questions
Q.Can I do the workshop on rainy days?
Yes! Miyako Resin is a fully indoor workshop, so you can enjoy it safely on rainy days. It is one of the most popular rainy-day activities for visitors to Miyakojima.
Q.Can I take my piece home the same day?
The resin needs about 24 hours to fully cure, so same-day pickup is not possible. You may either pick it up at our studio the next day or have it shipped to you. Shipping is free for most menus (only the large clock costs an extra ¥1,500).
Q.Is there parking?
Free parking is available right next to our studio. You can drive in directly.
Q.Is there a dress code?
Resin can be hard to remove from clothing once it sticks, so please wear something you don't mind getting messy. Aprons are not currently provided, so please be careful around your sleeves.
Q.How long does the workshop take?
It depends on the plan, but please allow up to 120 minutes. We work at your pace.
Q.Can I cancel or change my reservation?
Cancellations and changes are free up to the day before. Same-day cancellations incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Q.Do I need a reservation? Can I join on the day?
We recommend booking in advance. Depending on availability we may be able to take same-day guests, so feel free to contact us by phone or Instagram.
Q.What is the minimum age?
At our studio there is no age limit. Small children can enjoy it together with a guardian. The coaster, which is quick to make, is especially popular.
Q.What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash and credit cards.
Q.Can I join on my own?
Of course — solo guests are welcome. Families and groups can each make their own piece (priced per person).
Q.Can the piece be a souvenir or a gift?
Yes. A one-of-a-kind resin artwork is a popular choice as a Miyakojima souvenir or anniversary gift, and we can ship it to you.
Make it part of your Miyakojima trip. Check availability and book here.
